Jaguars split doubleheader against Our Lady of the Lake

SAN ANTONIO - UHV split a doubleheader against Our Lady of the Lake on Saturday.

The Jaguars lost the first game 3-0. In that game, the Jaguars (4-4, 0-2) managed just five hits.

Though the Saints (6-3, 0-0) also had five hits, they did not have an error. The Jaguars had one error and struck out seven times.

Savannah Crittenden was the only Jaguar to have two hits in the first game.

The Jaguars rebounded in the second game, scoring nine runs off 10 hits in a 9-1 victory.

Isabella Soto and Marley Moehrig each contributed with two hits.

Alex Holland was 1 for 3 with three RBIs. Holland also pitched and allowed just one run on three hits.

The Jaguars return to action Sunday at Southwestern University for a doubleheader.
