Three people were treated at local hospitals for cuts after a fight broke out at Shady O Night Club early Sunday.

Rosie Williams, 45, and Donald Brown, 46, both of Victoria, drove themselves to Citizens Medical Center at 2:24 a.m.

Shenice Hosey, 27, also of Victoria, meanwhile, drove herself to DeTar Hospital Navarro.

All had wounds from a box cutter, said Lt. Jason Cross of the Victoria Police Department.

"No one was arrested. As a matter of fact, we got a call about the disturbance, but whenever officers responded, everybody had dispersed already. We did not know that there had been an assault or that anybody had been cut until we got a call from the hospital later," he said.

Police received the call at the nightclub on Port Street a short time after 2 a.m.

When officers visited with the victims at the hospital, they only described the suspect as a black man between the age of 43 and 47, Cross said.

All three were treated and released, spokesmen at the hospitals said.
