Two children with severe injuries and an adult with minor injuries were transported to a hospital Wednesday after a wreck.

The three - all passengers in an Oldsmobile Alero - were injured when a truck traveling at an unsafe speed in the 6000 block of North Navarro Street struck their car, said Victoria police officer Brandon Allen.

Both vehicles were northbound.

A 14-year-old female and an infant, both of Victoria, were transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro with severe injuries, Allen said.

Anthony Adams, 41, of Victoria, also was taken to the hospital with injuries and later released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

David Oeltjen, 53, of Victoria, the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado, was cited for failure to control speed and traveling at an unsafe speed, Allen said.

Neither driver was injured.
