The Victoria woman killed in an early Thursday morning crash has been identified as Cynthia Partida, 43.

A 23-year-old man who was suspected to be drunk drove through a red light while evading police and hit Partida's tan Buick, Victoria police said Thursday.

Partida was pronounced dead at Citizens Medical Center Thursday morning, said Victoria police Lt. Caleb Breshears.

Christopher Cordil-Cortinas, 23, of Victoria, who was driving a white Cadillac, was charged with intoxication manslaughter and evading arrest.

Police were called to McDonalds on Houston Highway at 2:41 a.m. Thursday on a report of a suspected drunk driver in the drive-through lane, Breshears said.

The wreck occurred at the intersection of Houston Highway and North Ben Wilson Street.

Cordil-Cortinas was listed in stable condition at the hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.
