Three people were taken to DeTar Navarro after a two-vehicle accident in the 1300 block of U.S. Highway 77, just north of La Fogata Bar & Grill on Sunday evening, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The first vehicle, a 1994 S10 Chevrolet pickup, was stopped on the inside northbound lane of U.S. Highway 77 with no lights on when a northbound 2013 Toyota Corolla ran into the back of the pickup, said Department of Public Safety Trooper Gerald Bryant.

Juan Mujica, 69, of Victoria, was driving the pickup. Mujica was taken to DeTar Navarro with incapacitating injuries, Bryant said.

Angel Rodriguez Davila, 69, of La Grange, was driving the station wagon, and Rosetta Davila, 67, of La Grange was a passenger, he said. Angel was taken to DeTar with possible injuries, and Rosetta is likely in serious condition, Bryant said.

The two-vehicle accident is still under investigation, Bryant said.

A DeTar Navarro official said all three patients were still being evaluated Sunday night.
