Top 5 Texas albums we're looking forward to in 2014:

1. Spoon - "TBA"

Due out sometime in 2014

Finally, a follow-up to the 2010 album. In vague interviews, the band has hinted it will have "slightly more soul," but we're looking forward to more romance and oddities.

2. Eli Young Band - "10,000 Towns"

Due out March 4

Hailing as a college band from University of North Texas, Eli Young Band is now filling stadiums and selling albums.

3. St. Vincent - "St. Vincent"

Due out Feb. 25

On the heels of a collaborative work with David Byrne, we're looking forward to an appearance from those funky riffs and reggae beats.

4. Reverend Horton Heat - "Rev"

Due out Jan. 21

A mainstay around Dallas since the mid-1980s, we're looking forward to more rockabilly meets psychobilly from this bunch of weirdos

5. Los Lonely Boys - "Revelation"

Due out Jan. 21

This album promises to be a solid mix of bluesy rock and rootsy, brown-eyed soul with a touch of conjunto. Yum.
