• Invista issued an additional statement Thursday concerning a story on Page B1 on Thursday."Mr. (Jason) Young was terminated for actions and decisions that could have presented a serious threat to the safety of his co-workers. The plaintiff's attorney has said that his client '. forgot to close a valve or something like that .,' but the reality is that the individual's actions were clear and serious violations of Invista's safety practices. The safety of every individual who works at our company is a responsibility that is paramount. We believe Mr. Young's claims are without merit and intend to vigorously defend any further litigation."
