Because of some unforeseen challenges, the contractors working on the Coleto Creek Park boat ramp will require more time to complete the maintenance.
Initially, the boat ramp was scheduled to reopen Friday following a week of temporary closure of the ramp and dock for the maintenance work, according to a news release from the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority, which owns the park.
"We will open our ramp up over the weekend but will have to close it Monday and Tuesday for the contractors to complete their work," said Wilfred Korth, Coleto Creek Park chief ranger.
At this time, park officials anticipate the boat ramp will be open for use by Wednesday.

Coleto Creek Park and Reservoir is midway between Victoria and Goliad off U.S. Highway 59.
