Moulton livestock show begins Sunday

The annual Moulton Junior Livestock Show kicks off Sunday in the school district show barn.

The number of entrants remained steady again this year as students will show nine steers, 35 hogs, 14 lambs and nine pens of broilers, said Brenda Kram, show secretary.

Future Farmers of America and 4-H students will begin animal weigh-ins at 1 p.m. Sunday with the market broiler show at 6 p.m. followed by lambs immediately after.

Monday kicks off at 9 a.m. with the hog show followed by steers.

The Buyers Social will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the American Legion Hall, with the premium sale starting at 8 p.m.

The FFA will host a concession stand Sunday evening and all day Monday and offer a variety of foods, including breakfast tacos, Monday.
