The Crossroads area is home to a few more Rent-A-Center locations.

The new locations, formerly ColorTyme, changed names in November to reflect the parent company Rent-A-Center, said Donald Salais, Rent-A-Center regional manager.

"This way, we're able to better serve our customers with three stores in Victoria and one in Cuero," he said.

ColorTyme purchased the two locations and took on the name Rent-A-Center to operate under the same franchise name. The move, Salais said, will give the businesses an opportunity to operate with "more hometown feel," because it is no longer tied to a corporation.

Customers will not experience any changes with the business, he said, but they will notice more options.

"Customers will have more of a choice of what they want because they will have more inventory to choose from," he said.

The locations have changed the signs and are preparing to complete the awnings, which will include the new Rent-A-Center name and logos.
