A Victoria County Sheriff's Office deputy was injured in a two-vehicle wreck Thursday.
Cpl. Dan Bettes was responding to a high-risk warrant assist in Lavaca County about 2:30 p.m. when a truck pulled into his lane at the Zac Lentz Parkway and Briggs Boulevard intersection, and the vehicles collided, Sheriff T. Michael O'Connor said.
The truck, O'Connor said, flipped after impact.
The driver, Robert Blackmon, 63, of Goliad, was taken to DeTar Hospital Navarro, where he was treated and then released, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Bettes also was treated and released from the hospital, O'Connor said.
Victoria Police Department is investigating.
Information about the high-risk warrant being served in Yoakum was not available Thursday night.
