Refugio senior to play at Texas Lutheran

Refugio senior J.B. Brown will have a chance to continue his football career on the collegiate level.
Brown has announced his intention to play at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin next season.
Brown played defensive back, running back and receiver for the Bobcats in the 2013 season.
Brown rushed 42 times for 418 yards and seven touchdowns, and caught 39 passes for 514 yards and three touchdowns. Brown also had one interception.
Brown's biggest game came against Rogers in the Class 2A, Division II regional playoffs.
He caught a 71-yard touchdown pass to give Refugio the lead with 1:55 left in the fourth quarter. He also made the tackle on Rogers' two-point conversion attempt in overtime and the Bobcats went on to take a 73-72 win.
Brown made his commitment after visiting the NCAA Division III school last week.
Goliad lineman Austin Speed visited Texas Lutheran on Wednesday.
Also Wednesday, Victoria East head football coach Roland Gonzalez said lineman Bo Pullin would attend North Texas, and linemen Cullen Oliver and Matthew Granz are headed to Panhandle State in Oklahoma.
