Fashion show raises money for scholarships

The Victoria Professional Express Network will host its seventh annual Fashion Show with Masquerade Ball at 6:30 p.m. July 16 at Spring Creek Place Event Center, 12116 Nursery Drive.

The event will feature a catered dinner, silent auction, award ceremony and fashion show. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the dinner and show will begin at 6:30 p.m., according to a news release from the Victoria Professional Express Network.

Tickets are $40 presale and $50 at the door. Presale tickets may be purchased at the following locations through Friday All About the Dress, Color Me Paisley, Days Gone Bye and Golden Wings.

Models will be wearing the latest fashions from Beth-A-Belle, Tanique, Golden Wings, Days Gone Bye, J.C. Penney, Dillard's, Jade and Madalyn and All About the Dress.

All attendees are encouraged to dress up for the event, including donning a mask.

Proceeds from the fashion show fundraiser go toward scholarships for women in the community through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund.

Each year, VPEN chooses a nonprofit organization to sponsor. This year VPEN has chosen Gulf Bend Center's Day Habilitation Program. Portions of the money raised from this event will also be donated to Gulf Bend Center.
