Victoria County Genealogical Society to host seminar

The Victoria County Genealogical Society will host a seminar from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 12 at the Victoria College Student Center, Room A, 2200 E. Red River St.
The seminar will feature Lloyd Bockstruck, former supervisor of the Dallas Public Library genealogy department. He is known for his knowledge of research skills, records, tools and activities that are part of family history research, according to a news release from the Victoria County Genealogical Society.
Topics presented at the seminar will include origins of names, southern migration, locating documents prior to 1850 and immigration records for family history research.
