Officials identify Highway 35 crash victims

Officials Tuesday identified the four people killed in a head-on collision Monday on state Highway 35 in Refugio County.
The crash occurred when a Nissan pickup was southbound on the highway about 5:25 p.m. when the driver went into the northbound lane, crashing into a silver Honda Civic, said a trooper with the Department of Public Safety.
Two adults and two children in the Honda were killed. They were identified as Rosalinda Albarado, 26, of Kyle; Becelia Gutierrez, 27, of Austin; Karly Rose Chavez, 7, of Kyle; and Riyan Vallejo, 4, of Austin.
Five others were injured in the crash, and they are: David Morales Clark Jr., 37, of Hutto; Mary Ann Hopkins, 32, of Austin; Tamera Sweet, 30, of Bryan; Eziekial Clark, 27; and David Clark III, 13. As of Tuesday night, all five remained in a hospital in stable condition. The crash remains under investigation.
