Traders Market may be new to the area, having been at its current location off of Water Street only since March 2013, but its owners are not.
This is the Shirley Randle and Josh Curry family's fourth resale shop in the area. Their very first shop, The Difference, was only two buildings down from their current location. Curry, 21, a Victoria native, owns Traders Market, where his mother, Randle, and his siblings, Johnny Curry and Savannah Curry, help out when they can.
The shop accepts donated items as well as personal belongings. Randle even remembers trading baby clothes from the shop for bread from a customer's bakery. Items in the shop can range from memorabilia to children's car seats to knives.
But the most noticeable charm of the shop lies in the assortment of dogs and cats outside owned by Randle and her husband, Curtiss. Chewbacca, Pinky, Red, Saturday, Dimples, Orbit, Seven and Snow roam the premises; the last three of them are cats. The majority of them, however, are not for sale.
