Registration for the fall 2014 semester at Victoria College begins 7:30 a.m. Monday and continues each weekday through Aug. 22.

Registration will take place in person at VC's Main Campus Student Services Building and at the VC Gonzales Center or online via the Pirate Portal.

Payment is due at noon on the Friday of the week in which the student registered.

The fall semester begins Aug. 25 and ends Dec. 19.

All new incoming freshmen will be required to attend VC's new Pirate Orientation the week of Aug. 11 to 15. New students will be unable to register without attending this newly created event. This orientation is designed to help students become actively engaged on campus and to understand the programs, services and expectations for success at VC.

"Pirate Orientation is something new and exciting for incoming students," said Bobby Cubriel, VC's director of advising and counseling services. "During the daylong session, we'll rotate students through a number of tracks to introduce them to VC departments, activities, resources and services in a fun and informative manner."

Lunch will be served to Pirate Orientation students. New students should RSVP for Pirate Orientation by visiting and clicking on Pirate Orientation.

Returning VC students can register quicker using a new system. Under this system, the more credit hours a student has earned, the sooner he or she can register.

Students who have completed:

More than 45 credit hours can register beginning Monday

More than 30 credit hours can register beginning Tuesday

More than 15 credit hours can register beginning Wednesday

More than 1 credit hour can register beginning Thursday
