Good ole days gone but not forgotten

Editor, the Advocate:

Believe it or not, I was once young many years ago and did get to go dancing at Schroeder Hall.

I was born Nov. 29, 1928. For those of you good at math, you can figure out my age. Also, I went dancing at the Cat's Claw in Port Lavaca with young people and had a good time. Even after I married, we went dancing there. We also went dancing at Mom's Place in Port O'Connor and a dance hall at Six Mile. There was even another one on the way to Victoria.

The jitter bug was the name of one dance we enjoyed. Herbert Cady, of Seadrift, taught many of us girls how to jitterbug.

Those good ole days are gone but not forgotten.

Dorothy G. Wilson, Seadrift
