Aiden Aragon loves everything America.
The 6-year-old Victoria boy won the Advocate’s 2014 patriotic photo contest.
Aiden has always loved superheroes, said his mom, Gwen Larriu-Aragon.
“His favorite is Captain America,” she said.
In the photo, Aiden put on his costume as the U.S. took on Germany in the FIFA World Cup. He then grabbed the American flag and started waving it in the yard. Aiden is the son of Gwen and Louis Aragon, of Victoria, and the grandson of Jose and Eneida Larriu, of Bloomington. He wins two Cinemark movie tickets.
The Crossroads also loves the American flag.
Readers submitted photos of the flag's bright reds, whites and blues against a summer sky and photos of people donning patriotic garb.
For our next photo contest, we want to see how you spent your summer vacation – whether you lounged at home or traveled in or out of the country. The person who submits the best photo, as judged by our readers, will win two movie tickets.
