Child pornography trial could go to the jury Friday
June 5, 2014 at 1:05 a.m.
The trial of a Victoria man accused of using his neighbor's Wi-Fi to download and share child pornography continued Thursday.
Jason Terrence Leita, 39, is charged with 14 counts of possessing or promoting child pornography Aug. 1, 2012.
Linda Jonckers testified her son was in special education classes since he was 6.
She said she'd never seen him use a computer and knew the lock on the side door of his house was broken before his arrest.
Although Jonckers said she still oversaw Leita's finances, she acknowledged, after being presented with his November 2011 bank statements, that he bought a computer from Office Depot using money and a membership card she didn't know he had.
The trial continues at 9 a.m. Friday. Attorneys are expected to make closing statements Friday.
