UHV finishes season ranked No. 21

The UHV softball team finished its season ranked No. 21 in the 2014 NAIA Softball Coaches' Postseason Top 25 Poll.

The Jaguars went to the NAIA National Championships for the third year in a row and finished the season with a 33-15 record. They also advanced to the NAIA Opening Round Tournament and dropped from No. 20 to No. 21 in the season-ending poll with 189 points, according to a release.

UHV was ranked every week of the season for the second time in its seven-year history. They began the season ranked No. 15 and ranged between No. 19-20 for a majority of the season.

Two of UHV's Association of Independent Institutions conference-mates ended their seasons ranked in the top 20.

LSU-Alexandria finished ranked No. 6 and California State-San Marcos is ranked No. 13.
