Democrats have power in Calhoun County

Editor, the Advocate:

In response to the letter from Joan Moritz in the Advocate on May 31:

In Calhoun County, the courthouse and every office of authority is controlled by the Democratic Party.

The Democratic chairwoman has complete control over the Democratic primary. She hires and supervises all precinct judges and clerks. She validates all absentee ballots. She hires and supervises all members of the Democratic early counting board. She has final say.

The voters of Calhoun County have chosen to keep these people in charge.
