Corner Store, at 4150 state Highway 72 West in Cuero, is hosting a grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. Thursday for its newest store in Cuero. Giveaways, samplings and activities will be from 9 a.m. to noon.

At the event, Corner Store will be making a $5,000 donation to Cuero High School to show its commitment to the local community. School staff and chamber representatives will be on-hand to help cut the ribbon.

Everyone is invited to try a free, fresh-baked sausage kolache and cookie and wash it down with a free Flavors2Go fountain drink or Cibolo Mountain coffee while Corner Store team members and volunteers wash windows and pump gas for patrons.
