The Victoria school board is expected to appoint two new elementary school principals and one high school head band director Thursday.

Andreia Foster, former Rowland Elementary School principal; Landon Zamykal, former O'Connor Elementary School principal; and Adam Ardner, former Victoria West High School head band director, resigned from their positions, said Diane Boyett, VISD communications director.

Foster and Zamykal could not be reached for comment.

Ardner said he would not be seeking another teaching position.

Foster came to Victoria from the Waco area last fall.

Zamykal was started serving as an assistant principal at Schorlemmer Elementary School in 2009. He began working for VISD in 2000 as a teacher.

Tammy Garza, former Mission Valley Elementary School principal, is the new Rowland Elementary School principal.

The new principals would serve at Mission Valley and O'Connor elementary schools.

In other business, the board will review a proposed 10-cent increase in cafeteria meal prices for the full-paid meal lunches.

The rise in price comes as part of federal regulation, Boyett said.

"This is only for lunch and does not affect reduced-lunch or breakfast prices," Boyett said.

Meal prices increased by 10 cents for lunch and by 5 cents for breakfast last year, Boyett said.
