Devereux Gardens Hibiscus Fest returns Saturday

Devereux Gardens will host its Hibiscus Fest on Saturday.

Customers can expect to see at least 2,200 plants of more than 50 varieties, said Allison Richter, a grower at Devereux Gardens. Brilliant Red will be the featured hibiscus this year. The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hosted at the Growing Center, pricing will be based on size of pots, with prices ranging from $7.99 to $14.99. Purchases at the Growing Center will be tax-free Saturday only, she said.

Sales benefit the Devereux Foundation, a nonprofit that provides human services to children, adults and families with special needs because of behavioral, psychological, intellectual or neurological impairments, according to the foundation's website.

It's an opportunity for "the community to come and support Devereux and raise funds for the clients," Richter said.

The Devereux Gardens Growing Center is at 120 David Wade Drive off U.S. Highway 59 South.
