Citizens Medical Center will open its new diagnostic center within Twin Fountains Urgent Care Center on Monday.
Citizens Diagnostic Center will provide lab, x-ray, cat-scan and ultrasound services to patients receiving treatment at Twin Fountains as well as on an outpatient basis. Citizens Diagnostic Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
The center will be at 108 Twin Fountains Drive, Suite A, Victoria.
Hospital, clinic officials and the chamber of commerce will hold a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Expected to take part are Dr. John McNeill, owner of Twin Fountains Urgent Care Center, and Stephen Thames, CEO of Citizens Medical Center.
With the changing healthcare climate, Citizens Medical Center has been working with other providers to find more safe and efficient ways to provide access to care for Victoria's population.
"The opportunity presented itself to take over the imaging and ultrasound services at Twin Fountains, so Citizens Medical Center took advantage of the opportunity to partner with such a respected provider," Thames said. "This move solidifies the working relationship we have with Dr. McNeill and his facilities and opens up the door for future joint ventures with them."
McNeill said, "Twin Fountains has built its reputation on doing what is best for our patients, and this collaboration will move us forward in the ever-changing healthcare landscape."
