Editor, the Advocate:

In a world where classical music is fading, there is a star that still shines brightly. This star is the Victoria Symphony Orchestra.

My daughter and I had the honor of attending yet another impeccable performance. Every detail was masterfully executed, and the careful artistry was exquisite. The most impressive part of the symphony, however, occurred after the concert when Maestro Daryl One took time to speak with and listen to the opinions of the Victoria ISD orchestra students who were in attendance.

Maestro One's willingness to educate and share his passion for music with these budding young artists was an amazing gift.

As the parent of one of the students, I'd like to commend Maestro One and the Victoria Symphony organization for their unfailing support and active promotion of music education in our community. Your generosity and devotion to music are greatly appreciated, and I thank you.

Wendy Hughes, Victoria
