NURSERY - A woman died Monday night after a wreck on U.S. Highway 87 and Farm-to-Market Road 447.
Sally Delores Sierra, 44, of Victoria, was driving a blue Mercury Grand Marquis about 7:15 p.m. when she and two passengers in the vehicle were struck by a 1999 white Ford F-350 heading south on U.S. 87, said Department of Public Safety Trooper Gerald Bryant.
Sierra was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2, Stuart Posey. The two other passengers - Jose Alberto Flores, 46, of Victoria, and an 11-year-old who was not identified - were transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro with unknown injuries, Bryant said.
The driver of the truck, Timothy Shane Dempsey, 35, of Alabama, declined transport for medical treatment.
Trooper Vern Sterry is investigating which direction Sierra was driving when the wreck occurred.
