Editor, the Advocate:

In a letter to the editor March 11, the writer has once again chosen to enlighten readers with his knowledge and wisdom. He declares his opposition to the Obama administration, which he blames for things that are wrong with America, admonishes Democrats for not understanding "what's happening" and calls for America to "wake up."

He writes about something "really scary" that's going to happen to our children and grandchildren, but he doesn't explain what it is.

He states that if you lose your health insurance, he can "tell you who caused it." Could it possibly be the Democrats and the Obama administration?

The Affordable Care Act is a good thing. Like most new legislation, it has flaws that can be corrected. It is a start to get to us to where our country needs to be with affordable health care coverage for all Americans. We have the power to change things in the Affordable Health Care program that do not work and improve the things that do, and we can continue to improve it until it works as expected.

The writer's remark concerning the proposed Keystone pipeline to bring Canadian oil to the United States is absurd.

He writes about how "gun control" measures are steps to communism, but he does not mention that it can happen only if American citizens allow it to happen.

He writes about a "fundamental change" in the Democratic government because of Obama's "executive order power." President of the United States is the most powerful (and the most difficult) job in the world, but the president must comply with checks and balances put in place to prevent abuse of power.

The writer does not have confidence in our youth because they have "no idea what is going on," and he probably does not know there are intelligent, hard working, responsible youth that will, in time, fill jobs of great responsibility.

He should understand that no one person can lead our country down the path to ruin unless American citizens are willing to blindly follow.
