Best Appetizer: Chili's Bar & Grill

Chili's Bar and Grill has taken back the title of best appetizer in the Crossroads.

It was no surprise, said Kitty Dimmick, Chili's key manager, because they've been working hard to improve their service.

The renovations in the kitchen have brought the restaurant more consistency, which she believes is the reason they won the recognition of the area.

"We have the equipment that makes sure nothing is ever burned, the cheese will be perfectly melted, and it's quicker, too," Dimmick said.

She also thinks the menu selection has a lot to do with it. Chili's offers diners options including the Southwest egg rolls, sweet potato fries and, of course, the Texas cheese fries.

It feels great, she said, to take back the title from PumpHouse because she knows how good the appetizers are there. She thanks loyal customers for voting them No. 1.

"The guests in Victoria are great," Dimmick said. "They've been patient with us, and they've kept coming back to the restaurant."
