Best teacher: David Pozzi

David Pozzi has taught at St. Joseph High School for the past 46 years.

The popular calculus teachers credits his Best of the Best teacher victory to a long legacy of teaching.

"I've got a feeling I've got a lot of former students who voted for me, and that's special," Pozzi, 70, said. "We're just lucky to have students who respond to a challenge and who are willing to learn. That makes it a lot easier for us."

Pozzi teaches two calculus classes at the private Catholic high school.

Last year, Pozzi received a plaque celebrating his 45th anniversary at the school.
