Thumbs up to the Yorktown man, Robert Roller, for construction of his mini sized town for his grandson. He should open up the display to the public, so we can all enjoy his talent.
Thumbs up to Ann Harithas for sponsoring the Art Car Parade in Victoria.

Thumbs up to the countless volunteers for making Warrior's Weekend possible, to the city of Port O'Connor for being an outstanding host and to the heroes who selflessly defend our country. This weekend is a small token of what these men and women deserve from us.
Thumbs up to Marcus Luttrell - the "Lone Survivor" portrayed by Mark Wahlberg in the 2013 film - for sharing his experiences and providing lessons in leadership.
Thumbs up to honoring the lives of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty during Peace Officers Memorial Day. Their service will always be remembered.
Thumbs up the cities of Goliad and Hallettsville for being named among the top 15 best cities in Texas by CitiesJournal.com, a site that provides an analysis of cities around the world.
Thumbs up to Victoria firefighters for saving the lives of four dogs and a cat during a house fire in the 1700 block of North Vine Street. Firefighters used special masks, all donated to the department, designed to administer oxygen to animals. Sadly, a second cat could not be revived.
Thumbs up to the recent rainfall in the Crossroads.
Thumbs down to the damage caused by the severe weather that moved through the area.
