CareerFocus magazine spotlights VC's Respiratory Care Program

Victoria College's Spring 2014 issue of CareerFocus magazine has been distributed.
This issue features VC's Respiratory Care Program and introduces readers to this facet of health care. In this issue, readers can read about Chris Kallus, program chair; Ceci Oldmixon, clinical coordinator; Jim McCulloch, who recently graduated from the program; and 2013 graduate Tiffany Davila.
Also featured in the magazine is VC's KEY Center, a home away from home for student members. Under the direction of Pam Neuman and staffers Magali Silva, Joy Sixtos and Ana Hernandez, the KEY Center assists VC students with counselors, tutors, financial aid assistance, transfer information and various study materials.
The magazine was mailed to nearly 40,000 households throughout VC's service area, including Calhoun, DeWitt, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca, Refugio and Victoria counties. Residents of Goliad County also received the publication.
CareerFocus features helpful career and college information, including an A-Z listing of the programs and courses offered at VC.
The career toolbox section offers helpful information about how to enhance job searches using social media.
CareerFocus magazine is a free publication from Victoria College and serves as a resource to help students and workers in the Crossroads area plan and prepare for the future. Free copies are available at the entrances of the VC/UHV Library, the VC Student Center, the Continuing Education Center building, the Health Sciences Center, Allied Health building and Fine Arts building.
