Brittany McGrew of Port Lavaca and Willis Braden of Cuero were married at 2 p.m. on March 15, 2014 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cuero. Father David Berger officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Sherron McGrew of Port Lavaca. She is the granddaughter of Betsy McGrew and the late Don McGrew of Port Lavaca and the late Kenneth and Beulah Roemer.
The groom is the son of Bill Braden of Cuero and Terrie Means-Waskow of Meyersville. He is the grandson of John and Erna Braden of Cuero and the late Arthur and Sally Means.
Briley McGrew of Port Lavaca, sister of the bride, attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brayson McGrew of Port Lavaca, sister of the bride, Amanda Seamans of Conroe and Lori Ramirez of Victoria. Flower girls were Kenley Calzada of Port Lavaca, Kaisley Sutherland of Port Lavaca and Bristol Braden of Converse.
John Braden of Converse, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Dusty Braden of Cuero, cousin of the groom, Brighton McGrew of Port Lavaca, brother of the bride, and Martin Leske of Cuero.
A reception was held following the wedding at The Venue on Church St. in Cuero. The couple will reside in Cuero.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Calhoun High School, a 2007 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a 2009 University of Houston-Victoria graduate with a Master of Education in Counseling. She is employed as a counselor at Cuero High School.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Cuero High School and a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business. He is employed at Langston Companies as a sales rep."
