Dow's 2014 iGive Dollars for Doers Grant cycle opens

Dow Seadrift Operations is accepting applications for grants to be given to organizations its employees volunteer with.

The application period opened May 14.

Employees must volunteer at least 25 hours a year for the nonprofit to be eligible for a $500 grant through the iGive Dollars for Doers program.

Dollars for Doers recognizes volunteer efforts of Dow employees by providing them with the opportunity to receive one $500 grant per year on behalf of the organization the employee volunteers for.

Fourteen grants are available in 2014. Applications must be filled out by the Dow volunteer. Visit Seadrift's Contributing to Community Success pages at

Nine organizations received grants last year: Goliad County 4-H Archery Club, Goliad County 4-H Shotgun Club, Parkway Church, St. Vincent de Paul - St. Mary's Conference, St. Vincent de Paul - Our Lady of Victory Conference, Zion Lutheran Church, Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Goliad Band Booster Club and the Calhoun County Fair Board.
