Two town hall meetings have been scheduled to discuss cinema programming at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts.

The meetings will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the board room at the Welder Center, 214 N. Main St., in Victoria.

Community members are invited to attend the meeting and share their programming ideas. Participants will be asked to complete a short survey. Both meetings are open to the public and expected to last an hour.

The Welder Center, owned and operated by Victoria College, is getting a digital cinema projector and will show movies this summer.

"We are excited about this new project," said Sue Prudhomme, Victoria College's director of Cultural Affairs. "This will add another layer of cultural enrichment to Victoria's entertainment scene."
