Suspect identified in vehicle theft

A suspect in possession of a vehicle that was reported stolen from the 400 block of Farm-to-Market Road 616 in Bloomington has been identified by the Victoria Sheriff's Office at around 3:40 p.m. Thursday.

The vehicle was not located at the residence or in the area of Bloomington, according to a statement from the sheriff's office.

Following up on a tip around 7:40 p.m., deputies located both the suspect and the vehicle.

The suspect in possession of the vehicle was identified as Andrew Figueroa, 33, of Edna.

Figueroa was arrested and transported to the Victoria County Jail for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a state jail felony, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 less than 1 gram, a state jail felony and possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility, a 3rd degree felony.
