• Why honored: I had received news that Jenica, the daughter of my dear friends David and Pam Edge, had been killed in a car accident. As I am living out of state, the only thing I could think to do was pray, and of course send food. I was having no luck finding a restaurant to deliver. When I called Johnny Carino's, the sweet lady on the other end of the line asked me more about who it was for. I told her it was for Pam and David Edge. Without hesitation she told me they would deliver the food. She said her kids were in Mr. Edge's band class, and she wanted to help the family, also. When I called back a few minutes later to place my order, she said her sister, Mary, who was also a manager and whose kids knew Jenica, would personally deliver it and the restaurant would cover the bill for my order. I was speechless and in tears. The Edges have been such a blessing to our family and the community, and I was in awe to see how God works by using us to bless others. I am so grateful that Sarah Jeppesen answered the phone that day and that she cared enough to inquire further. I am also grateful for her sister, Mary Schroeder, who took her time to deliver it to the family. They didn't even want credit; they delivered the food for me, someone they had never met. I want to thank them for their kindness and let them know they are my heroes.
