A huge thumbs-up for the Crossroads Community Band. Their musical tribute to Fred Junkin and Dr. Dan Smith on March 28 at the Leo J. Welder Center was great.

Ken Peach, director of the band, did a lot of research as to content of the concert, which was well played by the band and well received by the audience.

Nice crowd, great band, and Ken can sure blow a mean trumpet. Kudos to all.

Thumbs-up to all of the exhibitors, businesses and families who supported all the agricultural projects at the various local stock shows. These are such worthwhile projects to get kids involved in. They learn so many life lessons through their projects.

Thumbs-down to the Victoria Housing Authority and the multi-regime mess they've got going on. I think it's totally unacceptable that our tax dollars are having to go into paying lawyers to clean up another unnecessary mess.
