The Goliad County Sheriff's Office is searching for a Goliad businessman reported missing Tuesday by his family.

Dr. Glenn Layne Towery, 56, was reported missing after he failed to arrive for work at his chiropractic practice in Victoria.

He reportedly had several patients scheduled, so it was unusual he failed to make appointments.

Towery's truck had not been located as of Wednesday evening, said Capt. John Pape, of the Goliad County Sheriff's Office. Deputies have no new leads.

Towery is a white male, 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He weighs about 160 pounds and has thinning blond hair.

He drives a gray 2014 Ford F-150 pickup with Texas license plates HTV2298.

He was last seen wearing shorts and a pullover shirt, but it is likely he would have changed clothes before leaving for his office.

Towery would have been traveling from his home in the Lakewood Subdivision in eastern Goliad County. His office is in the 100 block of Mockingbird Circle in Victoria.

Notifications were sent through a special bulletin to law enforcement throughout the region, the media and Facebook.

Information about Towery has been viewed by 38,468 people and shared 844 times on the Goliad County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page.

Locations in Victoria and Goliad counties were searched, he said.

Areas where a vehicle could be overlooked, including the airport, hospitals, parking lots and parking garages, were searched.

Victoria was the focus in Wednesday's search because Towery worked in Victoria, but lived in Goliad, Pape said.

"His practice is in Victoria, so it's an area he is familiar and comfortable with, but he may have gone a completely different direction," he said.

Anyone with information about Towery's whereabouts is asked to contact the Goliad County Sheriff's Office at 361-645-3451 or the nearest law enforcement agency.
