UHV softball coach Lindsey Ortiz announced the signing of NCAA Division-II transfer Angelica Davidson to a letter of intent to play softball for the Jaguars in 2018.

The sophomore utility player was a four-year letter winner at G-P and was named to the 2016 Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State softball team. She was also a member of the 2016 Class 5A state runners-up team and was named all-state at second base. She also earned all-district honors all four years and was a three-time All-South Texas award recipient.

She was named to the all-academic team four times and also earned recognition on the dean's and president's lists.

Davidson plans to study business and finance.
