Safety to be focus of bike rodeo

John Wesley United Methodist Church will host a bicycle rodeo from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

The rodeo is for children ages 5 to 12 years old. Children should bring their own bicycles.

Participants will have the chance to increase their knowledge of bicycle safety and participate in multiple bicycle obstacle courses to learn road safety rules. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided along with giveaways.

The PHI Helicopter will also be landing.

The church is located at 8300 N.E. Zac Lentz Parkway.

This event is conducted by the Texas Department of Public Safety and Victoria Police Department.
