CUERO

Aug. 11

Receipts: 1,285

Had 132 cows and 23 bulls. Once again the packer market was steady with last week's market. Numbers still low, so no real test on market, but what was here sold well. The highs were about $1 to $2 higher due mostly to the quality.

The calf market however was lower by about $2 to $3 as the effect of the futures market made itself known. Just an over supply of calves coming in these last months of the year will bear on the market. Demand was excellent, just at lower levels.
