A Moulton man was killed Friday evening as a result of a single-vehicle crash near Moulton.

Rey Edward Friedrich, 70, of Moulton, was traveling west on Farm-to-Market 532 about 4.6 miles east of Moulton in a 1996 GMC 2500 pickup just before 9 p.m. when he left the roadway to the right, said Sgt. Ruben San Miguel, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety.

Friedrich overcorrected and the vehicle overturned. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from his vehicle, San Miguel said.

He was declared deceased at the scene at 9:28 p.m. by Lavaca County Justice of the Peace Travis Hill.
