A woman was flown to a San Antonio hospital late Saturday afternoon after being ejected from her vehicle on U.S. 77 near J-2 Ranch Road.

Sgt. Ruben San Miguel, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety, said two John Deere tractors were traveling single file in the southbound right lane on U.S. 77 near J-2 Ranch Road just before 5 p.m. Saturday.

A woman driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound behind the tractors and attempted to pass the tractors in the left lane.

However, the front right of the Silverado made contact with the tractor's grass cutter, San Miguel said. The woman overcorrected and the Silverado rolled twice before coming to a rest on the right southbound lane.

The woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from her vehicle, San Miguel said. The woman was flown by helicopter to San Antonio Military Medical Center.

Her condition and identity were unavailable late Saturday night.
