Four of ConocoPhillips' storage tanks in DeWitt County were swept away when the Guadalupe River flooded Tuesday.

They carried a total of about 16,160 gallons of produced oil and about 3,192 gallons of produced water.

How much was spilled has not been determined, according to the Emergency Management Coordinator Cyndi Smith.

The tanks were near Westhoff. Smith said state and county officials are waiting for the water to recede to clean up, recover the oil and determine how much was spilled.

ConocoPhillips wrote in a statement that it stopped production Friday through Sunday prior to Hurricane Harvey making landfall.
