Hansen recognized as All-American

Espen Hansen continued the UHV men's soccer team's historic season Tuesday by becoming the first Jaguars soccer player to earned NAIA All-America honors.

Hansen was named to the 2017 NAIA Men's Soccer All-America team.

The senior forward led the team in goals (6), points (13), shots on goal (24) and game-winning goals (4), while sharing the lead for most shots (35). He was named to the all-Red River Athletic Conference first team and was recognized on the RRAC all-tournament team.

He was also named to the RRAC first team in 2016.

In three seasons with the Jaguars he has appeared in 49 games and is the UHV all-time career leader in game winning goals with eight and shots on goal (71). He stands second all-time in goals (22), points (49) and shots (113). He also has five assists to his credit.
