Enjoy small business shopping and dining as that Christmas list checks off itself.

Greener Acres will bring a two-day holiday market experience starting at 5 p.m. Dec. 15 and 9 a.m. Dec. 16 at Greener Acres Free Range Junk'n.

Stroll through the second annual event to celebrate the holiday season with local shopping, food and festivities.

"It's free to the public and a great way to support local businesses and nonprofit organizations," said Nicole Loest, owner and operator of Greener Acres Market Days.

During the course of two days, more than 90 vendors will be in attendance.

"There will be everything from antique vintage items to handmade arts and crafts," Loest said.

The first day brings a shopping experience under holiday lights along with a special holiday movie.

"Just after dark, we will have 'The Polar Express' playing on the side of the barn," Loest said.

Children who come dressed in their "Polar Express Best" themed outfit, will receive a Polar Express "Believe" bell from Santa Claus.

Holiday shopping continues on Day Two with an ugly Christmas sweater contest hosted by the Victoria Trap and Neuter for feral and free roaming cats. The entry fee is $5 and contestants can sign up at the VTNR booth to win prizes.

Santa Claus will make an appearance on both days to visit and take pictures.

"Kids that do visit Santa can pick up books that vendors have generously donated," Loest said.

The event will bring a variety of vendors to help shoppers find the perfect gifts for Christmas, she said.

"It's a great opportunity to find those last-minute Christmas gifts and enjoy the holiday atmosphere," Loest said.
