A Telferner man was sent to a hospital after rolling his vehicle several times Monday evening.

Dennis Owen Cude, 57, was traveling east on Farm-to-Market Road 444 near Salem Road in a 2004 Ford pickup about 5:30 p.m. Monday when he left the roadway, said Sgt. Ruben San Miguel, a spokesman for the Department of Public Safety.

Cude drove through a fence and rolled the vehicle several times.

The Victoria Fire Department responded to the scene to remove Cude from the truck, San Miguel said.

Cude was taken to Citizens Medical Center with cuts on his hands, San Miguel said.

A nurse with Citizens Medical Center said Cude remained in the hospital Wednesday afternoon but declined to elaborate on his condition.

The crash is under investigation.
