DeWitt County officials plan to discuss with the public Jan. 9 the revised Guadalupe River flood impact statement.

The DeWitt County Office of Emergency Management, city of Cuero and the National Weather Service will hold meetings that day at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Cuero Municipal Park Clubhouse, 201 Leonard Roy Harmon Drive.

The impact statement is used in emergencies to protect people and property, DeWitt County Emergency Management Coordinator Cyndi Smith wrote in a news release.

Smith also serves as the floodplain manager and issues the required permits for development in the floodplain.
